Research Assistant II

Steve Ganem joined the Women’s Health Unit (WHU) in June 2018 as a Research Assistant. Steve received his BS from the University of New Hampshire in Nutrition & Wellness and hopes to attend medical school in the future. He is a dedicated community volunteer, and has proudly served as a SNAP volunteer leader at UMass Boston and a member of the Boston Cares organization working to provide underserved individuals with assistance in applying for SNAP and GED tutoring. Steve also enjoys health science writing, and has published two articles in geriatric nutrition with the aim to educate clinicians about evidence-based recommendations for alcohol and malnutrition assessment in older adult patients. At the WHU, Steve is primarily providing research support for TRIP: Translating Research Into Practice, a Boston-wide project which aims to mitigate breast cancer disparities.
