Kyle Megrath is the Communication and Training Coordinator on the Community Engagement team at the Women’s Health Unit (WHU). In his role he designs and delivers workshops that help improve communication and partnership between stakeholders with the aim of fostering better research that results in better health for our communities. Kyle comes to this work with extensive experience designing and providing training and education that cultivates community relationships, engagement, and inclusion. He also comes to this work with deeply held values of eliminating health inequity, promoting community engaged research, and striving for social justice.

With a Master’s Degree in Counseling and Mental Health from Boston College, Kyle began his career as a therapist with low-income and court involved youth and families in Boston and Brooklyn. He then went on to several high-profile positions in marriage equality campaigns where he designed and facilitated state-wide public education and engagement efforts that helped inform and influence conflicted voters and legislators. From there he did work providing community programming and training in the Boston area that worked to foster more LGBTQIAP+ aware, engaged, and supportive spaces in healthcare, academic, and community organizations.
