Boston Breast Cancer Equity Coalition


In 2014, the Boston Breast Cancer Equity Coalition was formed by a group of stakeholders in the Boston area. The Women’s Health Unit is a part of this coalition is made up of diverse group of multidisciplinary stakeholders, including non-profits, government agencies and multiple institutions in Boston where breast cancer patients receive their care. The goal of this partnership is to address the inequities in breast cancer mortality rates among Black, non-Hispanic women that are most persistent in U.S. cities.
