John Wendeborn

I am a fifth year graduate student working with Prof. Espaillat on variability in T Tauri stars. T Tauri stars are young, low-mass stars that are actively accreting material from their surrounding disk. I study how this accretion changes over time, on timescales of hours to years. Understanding the accretion and how it changes can not only tell us about the tar and disk, but also about what effect the accretion has on the disk and how it might change over time. I have used multi-wavelength data (ultraviolet to millimeter) from many sources, including ALMA, IRTF, HST, LCOGT, IRAM, and others.
