BUWIC Colloquium Speaker Anna Mapp!

On May 8, Anna Mapp from University of Michigan came as BUWIC’s 2017 Spring Colloquium Speaker! She met BU faculty, gave a wonderful talk on “capturing transcriptional activators with small molecules.”  She rounded out her visit with dinner with some faculty and BUWIC girls at Sonsie!

Lunch with Dr. Malika Jeffries

BUWIC hosted a lunch seminar on June 10th, 2016 with new organic professor Malika Jeffries El!

Dr. Jeffries-EL's research focuses on the development of organic semiconductorsmaterials that combine the processing properties of polymers with the electronic properties of semiconductors. She has authored over 30 publications, received over 1200 citations and given over 75 lectures domestically and abroad. She has won numerous awards including the NSF CAREER award (2009), the ISU- College of Liberal Arts and Sciences Diversity Award (2011), the ACS-Women Chemist Committee Rising Star award (2012) and the Iota Sigma Pi Agnes Fay Morgan Award (2013).
