Caitlynn Klawon

Caity was born in Connecticut, before moving to Florida and finally settling in Ohio. She has loved the marine world since attending a SeaWorld summer camp and watching the birth of a baby shark. In 2016 she started school at BU, exploring a variety of subjects  before concentration on Marine Science and ultimately joining the Buston lab. Caity is working on an honors research project on heritability with graduate student E schlatter. They are interested in how genetic and epigenetic factors affect larval swimming speed and endurance, important predictors of larval dispersal.
