Assistant Professor of Biology. PhD, Simon Fraser University, Areas of Interest: Neural circuit architecture and information storage in olfactory cortical networks.

Siggers Professor Trevor Siggers

Assistant Professor of Biology, PhD, Columbia University, Areas of Interest: Systems biology of the immune and inflammatory systems, gene regulation in immune and inflammatory systems, inflammatory diseases, transcriptional networks, DNA-binding of transcription factors and transcriptional regulatory complexes, computational genomics, cis-regulatory logic in transcription.

Stewart Dr. Nathan Stewart

Biology Lecturer, PhD, University of Alaska Fairbanks, Areas of Interest: Influence of habitat complexity, prey quality, and predator avoidance on marine mammal resource selection in nearshore sub-tidal communities in coastal Alaska and the Arctic.

 

Awards

Finnerty Professor John Finnerty, Director of the BU Marine Program (BUMP), has been awarded a 2013 Metcalf Award for Excellence in Teaching.
Kaufman Professor Les Kaufman received the Parker-Gentry Award for Conservation Biology from the Field Museum in Chicago.
Primack Professor Richard Primack received the Distinguished Service Award of the Society for Conservation Biology and became an Honorary Fellow of the Association for Tropical Biology and Conservation.
Fulweiler Professor Wally Fulweiler won the Neu Family Award for Excellence in Teaching.
Traniello Professor James Traniello received the Templeton Award for Excellence in Student Advising.
G Callard Professor Gloria Callard was awarded the ISFE (International Symposium on Fish Endocrinology) Lifetime Achievement Award.
Finzi Professor Adrien Finzi received the Distinguished Alumni Award from the College of Life Science and Agriculture at the University of New Hampshire where he completed his undergraduate degree in 1990.
Lobel Professor Phillip Lobel was awarded the “NOGI” (the oldest and most prestigious award in the diving industry) by the Academy of Underwater Arts and Sciences (AUAS); he also received the 2011 Service Award from the American Academy of Underwater Sciences.
