U.S. News & World Report Ranks BU Programs in Top 6

MET’s online Master of Criminal Justice has been ranked the #1 program of its kind by U.S. News & World Report. The 2016 rankings of Best Online Programs also included MET’s fully online master’s in Computer Information Systems—solid at #3 for the second year running—and master’s degree programs in management, now at the #6 position.

#1 Criminal Justice Graduate Online Program in the Nation: Boston University’s Metropolitan College Gets High Ranks from U.S. News & World Report

January 12, 2016—U.S. News & World Report has announced the nation’s Best Online Programs, placing three Boston University Metropolitan College (MET) programs in the top six and naming their Master of Criminal Justice the #1 Best Online Graduate Criminal Justice Program, out of the 55 programs assessed.

“We are honored to be ranked the number one online criminal justice master’s program,” says Assistant Professor and Associate Chair of Applied Social Sciences Mary Ellen Mastrorilli, who is faculty coordinator for the online Master of Criminal Justice. “This distinction serves as a validation of our commitment to providing an excellent academic experience for each of our students.”

U.S. News & World Report looks at U.S. schools and takes into account a variety of factors, including faculty credentials and training, admissions selectivity, student services and technology, student engagement, and peer reputation. “These rankings serve as an important tool for prospective students as they select an institution,” says MET Dean ad interim Tanya Zlateva. “MET’s outstanding results reflect and affirm the superior online learning experience offered by our faculty, facilitators, and staff.”
